Troubleshooting
If you're experiencing issues with your Snappy installation on Squarespace:
Script not appearing on all pages
Squarespace's architecture handles scripts consistently across most pages, but there can be exceptions:
- Check that the script is added to the site-wide Header code injection (not page-specific)
- For sites with password protection, ensure the script also loads before authentication
- Some specialty pages like checkout may use different templates
Issues with Squarespace commerce pages
If you're using Squarespace's e-commerce features:
- Check if your product pages and checkout flow are displaying the Snappy script
- Some parts of the checkout experience might be isolated from custom code for security reasons
- Consider using Squarespace's Order Confirmation Code Injection for post-purchase tracking
After Squarespace updates
When Squarespace releases platform updates:
- Custom code injections are typically preserved
- If functionality changes after a Squarespace update, check your code injection settings
Script conflicts
If you have multiple scripts added to your Squarespace site:
- Check the browser console (F12 or Cmd+Option+I, then click Console) for any JavaScript errors
- Try temporarily removing other custom scripts to identify potential conflicts
- Ensure your Snappy script is loaded before any scripts that might depend on it
With Snappy successfully installed on your Squarespace site, you're ready to start creating widgets, conducting A/B tests, and optimizing your site without waiting for development cycles.
